Principles & Philosophies

Below is a list of principles & philosophies of HBW, created by Barney Hellenbrand.

1. Our essential business philosophy is summed up in three questions: Is it the truth? Is there a need? Is what we are doing beneficial to all? If the answer is no to any of these questions we will not be involved.
2. Operate with the highest level of integrity, honor our commitments and always strive to do the most right thing.
3. Represent companies with highly competitive products and impeccable financial credentials to provide the highest level of value and security for our clients and representatives.
4. Always seek to improve in providing the best products, system, compensation, service and support for our clients and our associates. We do not rest on our laurels.
5. Provide the best opportunity possible for both the personal producer and the agency builder, treating both the way we would want to be treated as representatives of the company.
6. There is nothing more important than the needs of our associates in the field. Our goal is to support and serve them in every way possible; however, we will first work with those who deserve our help – based upon their production and then with those who need our help.
7. We believe that every person should become all that he or she is capable of being. Our responsibility is to provide an environment where this is possible.
8. Our commitment is to help our associates achieve their goals. We know that in that process we automatically achieve ours. By working together, everyone can win.
9. We want our performance to speak for itself. We will lead by example and judge by results. We will make mistakes, and we need to be patient with each other. We are building a strong, durable corporation, and good things take time to achieve.
10. We choose to create rather than compete in the marketplace. We encourage people to not just earn a living but to design a life.
11. We believe that the free enterprise system represents the greatest economic system in the world, and that people who are willing to develop a success consciousness can create for themselves and their families a lifestyle without limits if they will only learn to dream again.
